SCAM ALERT: Bank of America Impersonation + Bitcoin ATM Fraud This number is part of a coordinated scam targeting elderly victims. The caller claimed to be from Bank of America and told an older woman her bank account had been compromised and that her son was in legal danger. They instructed her to withdraw large amounts of cash and deposit the money into a Bitcoin ATM for safekeeping. She had already sent $38,000 earlier in the week and was about to send another $10,000 in cash when I intervened at the gas station. I stayed with her and called police. A report was filed. The scammers were aggressive and persistent. They coached her to lie and say she was sending money to her son if anyone questioned her. She was clearly scared, confused, and under psychological pressure. This is not Bank of America. This is a criminal operation using fear and urgency to exploit vulnerable people.
