Poses as local law enforcement officer. Says youve failed to appear for jury duty claiming youve missed a properly mailed notice. Demands you go to the local sheriffs department. Once youre in your vehicle, they ask that you bring cash to cover the fine in order to make bond. I realize this was a scam at this point and drove directly to the sheriffs department. They stayed on the line the entire time even demanded the receptionist at the sheriffs department check my name.
