Some person called me from this fhone number he says I am called you from police department hit and run but I am not sure if he is a police officer

Person called at 2:00 a.m. indentifying himself as a Houston police officer and was I the person who called about the man asleep on the road. When I said no he confirmed my phone number which was wrong and tried to get me to give my correct phone number. I hung up,

This telemarketer faxed my cell phone at 4 am!!!!
